Year-round leagues, player development, coach education and more aim to deliver improved experience for Chicagoland soccer community
LISLE, Ill., March 19, 2026 – Midwest Soccer Association has officially launched, offering year-round youth leagues, player development and coach education programs to the Chicagoland soccer community beginning in April 2026, providing a long-awaited alternative in the area. Many of Chicagoland’s youth soccer clubs have expressed a desire for a new league, and Midwest Soccer Association intends to provide players, families and clubs with the experience they have been seeking.
“We have spoken to many clubs and families in the area, and it’s clear that everyone wants a better experience, but up to this point their desires have fallen on deaf ears,” said Zac Ludwig, co-founder of Midwest Soccer Association. “Our MSA team knows firsthand how they feel, and we have the experience and expertise to provide something better for the boys and girls of our soccer community.”
The most substantial offering from Midwest Soccer Association (MSA) will be the Development League, which will run during the fall and spring seasons beginning in August 2026. MSA will take a hands-on approach to maintain high standards, consistency, appropriately competitive games and a clear emphasis on meeting players’ development needs. Registration will open in May 2026, and clubs can immediately submit their interest in joining the league and share their feedback with MSA by completing a survey on the organization’s website.
MSA will also operate the IPSL summer league in Bolingbrook beginning in June 2026 and will launch a weeknight futsal league in Naperville starting in the winter of 2026–27. Players can receive supplemental training from MSA’s A-licensed staff through its Training Centers beginning April 12 and can participate in two summer camps in June and July. Registration for the IPSL summer league, Training Centers and summer camps is available through the Midwest Soccer Association website.
Midwest Soccer Association plans to announce additional programming for players, coaches and referees in the near future. To stay updated, visit www.midwestsoccerassociation.com and join MSA’s mailing list via the contact page.
