LISLE, Ill., May 29, 2026 — The Midwest Soccer Association (MSA) has added Mike Bona, Zorohn Reed and Matt Hanna to its Training Centers staff and confirmed the fall 2026 Training Center schedule. Sessions will be held at College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn, Illinois on Sept. 13, 20 and 27, and Oct. 4, 11, 18 and 25.
The additions reunite MSA co-founder Zac Ludwig with colleagues from the Northern Illinois Select program. The group previously worked together to provide supplemental player development and player identification in Chicagoland.
“Adding Mike, Zorohn and Matt to our staff will significantly strengthen our Training Centers program," Ludwig said. "I am excited to bring their experience and skills to MSA, as they proved to be a top-level team when I previously brought them in to coach at another program.”
Bona will lead sessions for outfield players, while Reed will take charge of the goalkeepers. Hanna will initially fill in on an as-needed basis and will likely step into a more permanent role during the winter and spring seasons. The Training Centers program provides supplemental training to both outfield players and goalkeepers ages U11 to U18, with an emphasis on helping players develop their decision-making and technical skills.
Parents of players who have worked with the staff members have praised their impact.
“I don't think I've seen my son have quite so much fun playing soccer. The instruction is excellent,” said Dane S.
“The experience was great and my son loved working with the coaches,” said Emily C.
“As a fellow coach, I really appreciated watching the training sessions and thought the coach has had a positive impact on my daughter.” stated Thomas H.
Registration for the fall 2026 Training Center is now open and can be found at midwestsoccer.byga.net/programs/n1xlpyc68e/signup. Players who register before July 1, 2026 will receive a $25 discount.
